About Us

John and Wendy Abbott formed Airstreams4rent in 2008 out of their love for Airstreams. When they wanted to rent an Airstream for a vacation, they discovered no one was renting Airstreams. One forum post even said, "It's like in the car rental industry, no one rents Mercedes, they only rent Fords and such".

The Abbotts asked themselves, "Why can't we rent Luxury? Many people love Vintage Airstreams, but they don't have the space to store a trailer or they don't want to deal with the repairs and maintenance." The Abbotts now buy, refurbish, and then rent Vintage Airstreams in Phoenix, Arizona.

John finds the restoration to be more like play than work. "The Airstreams are just beautiful. I find it so rewarding when I work on them and can bring them back to their prime. It brings back wonderful memories of our family vacations. And it feels great to help other families build memories of their own."

Wendy is also involved in different aspects of the restoration, and she really loves making sure everyone is comfortable and able to relax and enjoy their vacations. "I love the way people in campgrounds are so friendly. I have always gotten lost easily, and with an Airstream, I can just ask people where I'm camped. They always know and point me in the right direction!"

David is our handsome boy who works tirelessly polishing our Airstreams. If you drop by, you just might catch him sweating in the Arizona sun. He is the official mascot of Airstreams4rent. (Definitely not written by David himself.) So if you like hot topless men, Rent an Airstream!

Anna is our busy travel rep and has chosen the title "Inbound International Manager". She is busy searching for exciting places for you to visit on your Airstream adventure. If you like travel junkies, Rent an Airstream!

Christa is our nursing student. When it comes to Airstreams, she does nothing except camp in them. So if you want to sit around and do nothing, Rent an Airstream!

Sarah made a baby with her husband Chris. When the baby girl pops out, she will be so, so cute. If you like babies, Rent an Airstream!

Maren works very hard keeping track of the Airstream rental facility. Her jobs range from planting new palm trees, to playing music for our instructional DVDs. She works almost as hard as David. So if you would like to congratulate a hard worker, Rent an Airstream!

Shane is the dog. He runs around and looks pretty. He loves visitors, so stop by and shake a paw! If you like puppies, Rent an Airstream!

Airstreams4rent is located on 28th Street in north Phoenix near Shea Road and State Route 51. Airstreams4rent is a female owned limited liability partnership and is a true family run business.
